A second tunnel under the Windoor brand opened its doors on 1 December in Barcelona, Spain. Its distinguishing mark is the location: it is integrated into the stadium of the First Division football club Espanyol, which is itself part of the expansive leisure and shopping complex SPLAU.
As was the case with CLYMB in Abu Dhabi, the opening of Windoor Barcelona was delayed considerably. Construction had started in September 2015 and several target dates for completion were missed due to unforeseeable difficulties. Four years and 14 million Euros later, the tunnel of 4.3 meters in diameter and a height of 14 meters started operation on 1 December.
A formal inauguration was held on 4 December. And a creative campaign "Barcelona flies!" should bring in the clients.
