About This Website
Past & Future
#FlyIn2024 was the vision embraced by the entire skydiving community as well as the air sports family until the organizers of the Paris Olympics selected breaking, climbing, skateboarding and surfing as additional sports for their games.
Together with the French Parachuting Federation, the World Air Sports Federation, FAI, and the FAI Parachuting Commission, IPC, had presented the bid for inclusion of Indoor Skydiving in Paris 2024 to the Organizing Committee.
As did 15 other world sports governing bodies, FAI fell short of reaching its lofty goal. Its vision for the Olympic cycle through Los Angeles 2028 needs therefore adjusting.
This website serves as blog as well as knowledge repository to the Indoor Skydiving 2020 | First Global Summit (ISGS) held around the Bay of Roses, Girona, Spain, from 1 to 3 February 2020.
Shortly after the event, as much of the presentations, the panel discussions and the workshops as possible – specifically the summit outcomes (vision statements, action plans, etc.) – will get published here as the ISGS legacy.
