At The World Games

When I wrote about the exploits of the Soul Flyers, Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet †, at The World Games yesterday, I knew I had some great moving images to show. But I thought it would take me much longer to locate them. The filing system has proven itself.

FAI premiered two events at The World Games 2005 Duisburg: Canopy Piloting and Freeflying. French freeflyers Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet † - together with cameraman Stéphan Fardel - won their first World Games gold in Duisburg.

Four year's later, Fred and Vince teamed up with Cathy Bouette and helped the International World Games Association and the hosts promote The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung during the launch of the exhibition "Top Sports - High Spirits" at the Lausanne Olympic Museum in June of that year. Just a few weeks later, the team went on to win the second gold medal in Taiwan.

This jump was recorded at SKYDIVE EMPURIABRAVA.
