We had been waiting quite some time for Sydney Kennett, the junior freestyle standout, to enter Sky on Stage (SoS). Finally, she did submit her winning performance in last year's edition of the Wind Games as a THROWBACK.
The SoS organizers are very happy that Team Kennett - that is Sydney plus the other members of her family - chose to take part in the SoS THROWBACK Contest with a stunner of a routine. Everybody is aware that it would be extremely challenging to do any better than she did on 1 February 2020, in the final round of the Wind Games at Windoor Empuriabrava in Spain.
Just last week, Sydney started flying again at the iFLY tunnel in Denver, Colorado, after a long lay-off caused by SARS-CoV-2. She posted some videos on her Facebook page. "She flew for the first time in many months," says her father Andrew.
He also promises to think about recording something new. There are three more weeks to go until the SoS INDOOR contest closes on 30 January 2021. Maybe things do get better. Having Sydney and others perform to the rules and music selection of the contest would put the organizers on a learning curve with a view to future SoS editions.
